Floristry... it’s a unique industry. Whether you're a florist hustling on the side, or in the throws of a full time business, it has its challenges.

I've been in the game for 20+ years, and have experienced many of these challenges first hand. These challenges range from being unable to work, being left with too much product after a wedding, balancing expenses and profit, or even recognising my own worth and then there is the struggles to keep on top of my admin. Every problem required a solution in order for me to grow my business into the success it is today.

I am a wife, I am a mother (two children under the age of 10), and I am a successful business owner. I want to help you achieve your own success - whatever that looks like to you.

I'm passionate about this industry - that’s not a secret. I believe we're all in this together so I want to share my knowledge - the good the bad and the ugly, because we know it’s not all sunshine and roses - pun intended.

Blooming Business

The Blooming Business Workshop is an online webinar where we chat about all the nitty gritty of running a successful business. You can be an amazing florist, but if you have no idea how to run a business, whats the point!

The webinar is in 2 sessions, and is totally interactive, allowing you to ask questions as we go. You are sent a workbook to have as a reference, including useful activities to complete. There is also a replay available for 30 days after.

We cover a huge range of topics that will give you all the info you need to get that business running as it should. Modules covered include
- Accounting and Profit margins - Social Media - Branding - Processes - Multiple weddings- Quoting and Ordering - Business Relationships

All these things are vital to running a successful business and will help you make the money you deserve!

One on One Mentoring

I understand every business and person is unique... and thats why tailor made advice is the purpose of one on one mentoring. To really focus on YOUR specific issues in your business. I offer one on one zoom mentoring sessions to really work out solutions and goals to move your business onwards and upwards.

Prior to every session I ask you to fill out a questionnaire, and spend time really looking at your business. Then we have an hour to really work out solutions. I'll follow up with an action sheet of goals and tasks we've talked about.

Then I'll be your biggest cheerleader, I'll check in with you, follow your socials and love watching you grow!

Cost $200 per session ( 1 hour over zoom)

Floral Retreats

Floral retreats with Leah Mitchell Floral are an escape to fuel your creativity and build your skills.

They cover a number of floral elements, business and most of all fun! Hosted at a gorgeous location that is also a working wedding venue, we cover everything you need to know to become a successful designer.

There is accommodation options available to really give you a chance to unwind, as well as a dinner with all participants and the Leah Mitchell Floral team.

The event is captured by a well known industry photographer with a full gallery of your work available after event for your portfolio.

Consulting

Business consulting is a more long term connection. If possible I will visit your shopfront or workspace, and we will have dedicated regular sessions. I use my 10+ years of owning retail stores and 10+ years of wedding and event business to guide you.

We will build long term goals, work on issues like staffing, ordering, and work / life balance. I will be open, honest and use my experience to guide you in the right direction.

We can cover anything that you are struggling with in your business, from mindset to marketing to money management. No issue is off topic or too hard to tackle.

This program is designed specifically to you and your business, and is designed to be a long term commitment to cover a wider range of business growth.

You can ask me for advice when you need, and lean on me for support on hard days too! It's like having a floral bestie on hand.

Studio Workshops

In studio workshops are held at my custom built floral studio near Wollongong, NSW (1.5 hours south of Sydney).

They are cover 2 design topics such as, bouquets and centrepieces. Instruction, flowers, sundries and lunch are provided.

A well known industry photographer is also present to capture behind the scenes pics as well as branding content for your social media and website. These pictures are available for you via an online gallery and are free for your usage.

These workshops are perfect for new florists wanting to learn wedding designs, or more experienced florists wanting to upskill.

Every design is taught carefully and concisely and in an intimate setting so you get all the help you need. A guide on pricing and quoting the designs is also provided as well as a business Q&A.

But most of all, it's alot of fun! A day to be creative, learn and laugh.
